What We Collect

When you sign up for urWknd, we collect the following information to personalize your weekend recommendations:

• Location: Your city or zip code and preferred travel radius (in driving minutes). We geocode this to a zone center coordinate; we do not store your precise home address.
• Household composition:Whether your household includes children, and each child's approximate age in half-year increments (e.g., 4.0, 4.5, 5.0). No names.
• Interests:The activity categories you select at signup (e.g., hiking & nature, live music, arts & crafts).
• Budget preference: Your selected spending comfort level for outings.
• Email address: Used solely to deliver your weekly recommendation email.

What We Don't Collect

We do not collect children's names, birth dates, phone numbers, payment information, or precise home addresses. We store only an approximate age (half-year increment) and the signup date, from which we compute current age at generation time. This lets us personalize recommendations as children grow without storing any birth date or personally identifying information about your children.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to generate and deliver personalized weekend activity recommendations. Specifically:

• We use your location and travel radius to match you to a geographic zone with curated activity research.
• We use your interests, household composition, and budget to filter and rank recommendations each week.
• We use your email address only to send your weekly urWknd email and, when material changes occur, to notify you of updates to this policy.
• We never sell your data. We never share it for advertising or marketing purposes.
• We never use your data to build advertising profiles or sell it to data brokers.

Tips and Payments

When you choose to chip in, your payment is processed by Stripe. urWknd never sees, stores, or has access to your card or banking details.

Stripe retains payment receipts for at least 7 years to meet tax-compliance obligations. This retention is on Stripe's side and is independent of any other data you have shared with urWknd.

Recurring tips are subscriptions you can cancel at any time, either via the receipt link Stripe sends you OR via the "Manage your subscription" link on the urWknd thank-you page after you tip. Cancellation is immediate and takes effect from your next billing cycle.

Third-Party Sharing

We work with a small number of third-party services to operate urWknd. Each receives only the minimum data necessary:

• Claude API (Anthropic):Receives only computed current ages (e.g., "two children, ages 4.5 and 7"), interest tags, budget preference, and a compact taste profile. Never raw signup data, your email address, or any other personally identifying information. Anthropic processes this data to generate zone-level activity research and weekly recommendations.
• Mapbox: Receives your location query (city name or zip code) at signup for geocoding. Does not receive your email address. After geocoding, we store only the resulting zone center coordinates.
• Resend: Receives your email address solely to deliver your weekly urWknd recommendation email. Resend is our email delivery provider.
• Open-Meteo: Receives zone center coordinates to retrieve weekend weather forecasts. No personal data is shared.
• Vercel / Neon: Hosts the application and database infrastructure. Data is stored in a Neon Postgres database on Vercel infrastructure under standard data-processing agreements.

We do not sell data to or share data with any other third parties.

Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your subscription is active. If you unsubscribe via the one-click unsubscribe link in any email, your household is removed from the weekly delivery list immediately and your unsubscribe timestamp is recorded.

To request deletion of all personal data associated with your account, email us at hello@urwknd.com. We will complete the deletion within 30 days of your request and confirm when done.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about your household.
• Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete information via your preferences page, or by contacting us.
• Deletion: Request that we delete all personal data associated with your account.
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
